Residents are highly educated with 70% of those in their mid-20s holding a Bachelor’s degree or higher. Moving away from the main streets one finds quiet residential areas.

Georgetown – Resting on the banks of the Potomac, this neighborhood is home to the campus of Georgetown University. An area rich in history dating back to colonial times, the port has been a hive of activity for merchants and traders. In more modern times, the area is home to students and young families that enjoy the numerous bars, restaurants and nightspots that are scattered throughout the neighborhood.

Dupont Circle – This neighborhood is active area amongst young singles, particularly recent arrivals looking to establish life and family in America. Home to a large number of renters rather than owner occupiers, this neighborhood is also the seat of many foreign embassies and art galleries.

Chinatown, and Penn Quarter – This neighborhood has many cultural ties. It is home to the Verizon center where the Washington Capitals and the Washington Wizards strut their stuff and, as the name suggests, the highest number of Chinese restaurants  per square meter in all of DC- bon appetit!
